Autumn Olive Photography had the opportunity to photograph a wedding in St. Joseph, Michigan (which is very different from the mountains of Asheville, NC)!  It was so beautiful though and the weather held out the whole time!  The amazing wedding planner, JODY VANBOGELEN, of The Organized Partner made sure the whole day went off with out a hitch! The details were perfect and Matt and Sandy even surprised their guest with a special “first dance”! I have no idea how they had time to go to dance lessons with Sandy being in med school, planning a wedding, and training for a marathon!!  Makes me exhausted even thinking about it!

Thanks Matt and Sandy for allowing us to be part of your wedding day and I hope you enjoyed your honeymoon to Europe!

As always, life has gotten extremely busy and I am overwhelmed with all the love and work I have received!  Unfortuantly, with more work comes less blog posts!  :(  Be watching for the next couple weeks as I get caught up (right before I am even busier with this years weddings)!!  But, what can I say…I LOVE BEING BUSY AS A BEE….

A Boudoir session is a great way to embrace your body at any time in your life.  It seems that most woman that have had these sessions done decide to do them right before their wedding (after putting in all that hard work into their body for that wedding dress)… and surprise their man with them.  These images can be put into a leather album so that your partner can have a nice book of the images. These session are so classy and really are a lot of fun.  There is no nudity (as some think) and are done with the utter most class. These images are also confidential and will never be shared with anyone!

What to think about?

Location: Would you rather have it done in a nice hotel room, or in your bedroom?

What to bring:  Bring many changes of clothing.  Some choose lingerie, a button down shirt of their mans, or a cute cocktail dress works too. Heels always add a nice touch as well. Remember, these are supposed to be fun, and make you feel beautiful.  Embrace your body no matter what size/shape it is! 

A make-up artist and hairstylist can also be arranged for these sessions and to give you touch-ups through out the session. 

Life gets so busy sometimes that I tend to forget the little things….the little things that remind me that life is a wonderful gift full of surprises!  Here are a handful of pictures that I found from the last few weeks that I must have taken when the moment “hit me”.  They may mean very little to you, but to me they are something special…  Happy Wednesday!!

My husband, Chris, is my biggest supporter of everything I do (including my business)!  I am so very blessed to have him in my life and thank god daily for his never ending love!  Happy Valentine’s Day Baby and thank you for choosing me to be your wife!

I am sooo very happy for Chris and Meredith! Chris and I went to school together, and when they asked me to do their photographs, I could not have been more excited to capture their special moments!  These two were awesome sports…I know they had to be freezing without a coat on! The snow made for a beautiful backdrop though…!!   Here is a sneak peak….more to come!

Yes, Chris and I are very excited about farming! Photography was my dream and farming is his!  Chris has helped me so much in the growth of my business and been so supportive. Now it is his turn to work hard toward his dream as my business continues to grow!  I tend to incorporate a little of my personal life, along with my “business” life (I mean, they are both my life and who I am right?) into this blog, so sorry if I bore anyone!   We hope by the end of winter to have cows and possibly some chickens.  We have nothing against store bought meat and eggs (heck, that is what we use now), but we want to be more dependent on ourselves for our food and feel the quality will be amazingly different (and better) if we raise it ourselves! We will use no hormones or pesticides so our meat/eggs will be organic!  

And because every post is better with a few pictures, here are some pictures from the other week! I came home one afternoon to this! My man had been cooking a bear roast over a fire all day while stacking/cutting up firewood (no, bear isn’t my favorite meat, but it was perfect over the fire and was pretty tasty)!
