This summer, Autumn Olive Photography had the opportunity to photograph a sweet little girl before her first birthday in Morganton, NC!   She was such a happy little girl!! :)

It was such an honor to be part of this very special wedding that took place at the Morganton, NC old courthouse! :)

Newborn photography is such an honor to do! As a photographer, to see parents so excited to show off their little baby…well, it is just adorable!

I love being a photographer that photographs newborns and their mommas! :)  Here is just one!

Are these kiddos not just adorable!  Reesheda (their mom) was actually pregnant the same time I was with this little one!  Here are just a few from the session on the NEW Marion greenway! :)

We met at Falls Park in Greenville, SC to take the images of this beautiful bride! I am so excited to finally post these images up of Patrice!! Is she not a beautiful?   Just wait until you see the pictures of her wedding! :)

What a sweet, precious little baby girl I had the pleasure of photographing! Not until I had my daughter did I know the love a parent can have for their child!  Oh, and what a head of hair! Love it! :)

Yawn!!  Love baby yawns! :)

What a beautiful nursery!

Look how big daddy’s hands are compared to his daughter!!

Wedding season is fast approaching and I am so excited to share with you the stories and images of all the couples we already have booked for the 2010 season, and look forward to meeting the couples that still plan on booking for the 2010 season!  I must admit, I LOVE MY JOB!  I love getting to know new couples and capturing one of the most important days of their life!  It is like capturing their family history!  LOVE IT!! :)
Starting this week, I thought it would be fun to cover the  different “options” a couple has to take advantage of leading up to their wedding and shortly after.

Engagement photos are usually one of the first things a couple thinks about doing once they are engaged.  The most common question I get asked is, “when is the best time to get engagement photos done?”My opinion is that it honestly does not matter and is up to the couple.  Some couples like to wait for a particular season (like spring or fall).  Others like to get it done right after they get engaged. Some like to wait for their summer tan, others prefer to try to catch the snow!  Whatever makes you feel great is what you should do! :)

I always recommend to allow at least 2 months between your engagement session and your wedding.  This allows enough time to order your images and get an announcement put in the paper before your wedding day.  If you are looking at having an engagement image on your “Save the Dates”, then it is recommended to have your engagement session at least 4-5 months in advance.

Engagement Session Advice:
*Remember, you do not have to match your partner…wear clothes that represent you and that you are comfortable in!
*Solids are better than prints.
*Bring an extra set of clothes to change into….some like casual, some like it formal, some like it fun…..so bring a couple outfits to make sure you get the look you are striving for!
*Pick a location that you feel comfortable at.  A park you always visit, your home, a cafe you are a regular at….these all make for some great photo ops!
*THE MOST IMPORTANT THING….be yourself! Cuddle, hold hands, have fun….the best images come when the couple is at ease and you are having as much fun as the photographer! :)

Charles and Jessica came to Asheville for a little getaway this past weekend, and contacted me about getting their photos done while they were in the mountains!  These two are a great couple and can you believe that they have 3 kiddos? Seriously…. :)

Love the fall leaves…. :)

Love these HOT Boots…seriously… however, I am sure I would break my neck in them! ;)
