I am currently in Illinois visiting and doing some sessions (sessions I cannot wait to post about :) ), but I wanted to post a few more from this session last week first!!

Before the session even started I captured this moment…look at her hair and eyes!

Little Ty and Macey are just the cutest! We went up to their grandparents cabin (my dream home one day) to help set the tone for the session. This cabin is amazing….everything is designed to replicate an 1800’s cabin! Oh, and the children just love this place!  From the old dolls and hats, to the old school books and axes…this place is a dream come true for any child (and adult) to visit. We all played in the house, outside in the woods, walked the long gravel drive, and ended up in the creek at the end! :) Here are a few from the session…more to come! :)

She loved this old hat!

And the necklace…she thought she could slip them over her head, but mom had to help out!

The Ty man reading a book in the bedroom….

Just being a boy….but of course, sister had to hang out too…:)

Lauren was the Senior Class of 2009. Is she not beautiful? She came up to the house the other night while I had my camera out, so of course, I had to snap a couple photos! :)

Hannah and Anna were so much fun to photograph. How do you tell them apart…their hair is parted different! :) They are twins (incase you couldn’t tell), and it was so great to see how they interact with each other. Seriously, when one laughed, the other laughed, which made me laugh! :)

These two are such a cute couple and you can just tell they are sooo in love!  Congrats on the Engagement! :)  More to come…..

I love how Carissa is looking at Jeremy!

Autumn Olive Photography was Business of the week at Mountain 1st Bank and Trust last week! :) PS. I have nothing but praise to say for the staff at the Marion Branch! Not only are they very friendly, but you can also leave with an ice cream sandwich and slurpee (no joke)!!

Here are just a couple of photos from the bridal session.  The weather was crazy…it had rained in the afternoon, then foggy, then sun/clouds/humidity all at once!! I think we were all drenched in sweat by the end of the session, but it was so worth it! :) Look at her beauty! I will post more from the session when I get back from IL!!

A lot had happened last week and when the weekend came, all we wanted to do was hang out around the house, in the comfort of our home, with each other (this is my perspective of course..haha).  It seems that sometimes we are so busy that we don’t get time to get caught up around the place.  And even though we might be working around the land/house separately, just knowing we are close by and working toward the same goal is such a great feeling in my heart. Our weekend in a nutshell…slept at the lake in our sleeping bags, mowed, mulched, planted new trees, washed decks, drove around to see the farms,I learned stick shift, hiked, ice cream (I mean we had to fill our bellies after the hike :) ) and finally late Sunday afternoon nap time!  Yes, it was a great time even though it was busy. Now off to pack for IL!

Some images from the weekend with our little point and shoot camera!

After many sample albums, and must search for our new album, Autumn Olive Photography is excited to announce our new wedding albums that are now available. Unlike the Fine Art Albums (which are still available), these albums fit many more images, and are custom designed.  They have thick, rounded edge pages, and are flush mount with leather covers. These albums are available in the 10×10 and 12×12 sizes. The album below is a dis-stressed brown leather (a personal favorite), although the traditional black leather is available as well.  If you are one of my past or upcoming brides and you would like more information on these albums, please email me or leave a message on the main website!

PS. Please excuse the images. I don’t specialize in images of products. I would be more than happy to share in person! :)

Melissa, Shawn, Nicholas…it was so nice to finally meet you all!  Melissa and Shawn live about 4 hours away from Asheville, so we had not officially met until the wedding day. I was so excited to finally meet Melissa.  Melissa had contacted me a while ago about photographing her wedding at the Biltmore Estates. You may say that we became “email buddies” months prior to the wedding.  ;)  I honestly felt that I was meeting an old friend when I saw her for the first time (and I wanted to cry when I saw how beautiful she was)!

The ceremony and reception took place in the Champagne Cellar at the Winery on the Biltmore grounds. It was a beautiful, intimate ceremony with their close friends and family. The details we spectacular along with the staff at the Biltmore.  Here is a sneak peak from last night…more to come…:)

The new family!!

Mom and son time…..Nicholas is a true momma’s boy (and I don’t think mom would have it any other way)!I captured this image as we were leaving the winery to get some photos around the grounds of the Estate.  Shawn is holding her dress after just seeing her for the first time! We were walking underneath the grapevines, which provided amazing lighting and it was such a “real” moment! I love it…
