Sweet Caroline is 6 weeks old and SUCH A GOOD BABY and I am sure she gets plenty of attention with having 3 older siblings!
Little Caroline was a great hat model as well. These adorable hats were provided by Nicci Lynn Handmades. Click here to find her sight on ETSY (just ask about the newborn hats). Nicci and I went to school together and she is the busy and amazingly creative mom of 4 little ones!
After a week of rain, it was refreshing to have a sunny morning! The lighting was perfect and the kiddos have grown sooo much from last year when I did their pictures! You can just tell these cousins are close. When I asked the little one who her best friends were, she said her cousin’s names. How sweet is that!
She was shy at first, but by the end of the session, she wanted to go off with me and just get her photos done by herself! Too cute!
I love it when families get together for a weekend, and what better spot than Lake James! This was such a fun and laid back family…I hope you all got some of your landscaping done over the weekend while the weather was nice!
Here are some of my favorites from the session….
The cousins!

I just had to share these two photographs with you. How did I ever not post these on the blog before? Usually right after each session or wedding, I come back to the office, choose my favorite images for the blog, and then post a few “previews” to share on the blog. The images below never stuck out in my mind until I saw them the other day. The mother of the twins ordered them and while I was working on the order, my heart just melted all over again! So, blog world, I am now sharing them for all to see (hope you don’t mind Amber, but your kiddos are just too adorable)!
I must apologize for the lack of blogging in the last week or so. We are getting ready for a great fall season of weddings and family sessions here at Autumn Olive Photography! There is nothing better than capturing happy people with the fall colors painting the mountains.
One of the most common questions asked by many of our clients is, “What should we wear?” So, here are the basics!
Wear what you feel comfortable in. That always makes the pictures more fun and natural. Keep kids happy. If they hate something, don’t make them wear it! Color adds an extra pop to your pictures! Families don’t have to match, just try to cordinate colors! Pick three colors next to each other to add an extra “pop” to the images! Also, solids shirts are better than prints. Solids are classic. But, it is your session and your personality. Do what you feel is you and you cannot go wrong!!! Happy Tuesday!

Photographing children is so great! Children hold nothing back and cannot help but me themselves. The world is so small in their eyes, and the only real responsibility they have is to play and be a kid! These sisters were adorable and so much fun to be with! The weather was trying to play some tricks on us, and no lie, as soon as I got into my car, it started pouring rain!
This photo cracks me up soooo much!! She just couldn’t wait to make a funny face in front of the camera!
Autumn Olive Photography now can help you with designing photos and frames on your wall with our new design program! I have got to admit, I partially got this program for myself. You see, I have yet to put ONE HOLE ON A WALL in my house! I know, it is sad!
Part of it is just not knowing how I should design my frames on the wall. I really just want to “see it” before I “do it”. Ask for more details. Here are some examples of what can be done:
2 Horizontal 8×10 images, 2 vertical 8×10 images, 2 vertical 11×14 images. Minimum wall space needed is 55 inches by 50 inches.
2 vertical 8×10 images and 2 vertical 5×7 images. Minimum wall space needed is 48 inches by 15 inches
This wall includes 2 vertical 16×20 images, 2 vertical 8×10 images, 2 horizontal 5×7 images. A minimum wall space of 40 inches by 30 inches is needed.
