month: May 2009

Today Chris and I got away from the everyday hustle and bustle of life and took sometime for us. Here are just a couple of quick images from our hike on the Blue Ridge Parkway! It was breath taking!

And of course I had to add a photo of our little wet boy!  I love the paw prints…haha!

If you want all the news on the latest at Autumn Olive Photography before everyone else, or want to find out about our latest promotions and products, just subscribe to our newsletter (sorry for the run on sentence…)! To subscribe to the newsletter, go to the top right hand corner of the blog and find the word “subscribe” and click on it (then fill in your information)!

And because a post is so much better with a picture, below is a photo I took last weekend while I was on the road. Does anyone know what this plant/flower is?  I see them each spring and really want to plant some at the house!!  Any ideas would be appreciated! :)

Here are a few more of these 4 beautiful children!

Chris and I have two new little farm girls that we added to our family yesterday. Although they did not make the best first impression (they ran out of our fenced in area within 5 minutes of bringing them home and we had to search for a couple hours for them), we are still excited to have them.  These goats will be great for clearing out our fields!  We spent the whole day today “goat proofing” our cattle fence…haha…

I must admit, I was a little skeptical when “mom” mentioned that the cousins were going to get their photos taken in costumes. Both mom’s thought it would make for some fun photos and I must admit, they are fun! :)  Having the children dress in something they were really comfortable in  gave a whole new feeling to the session. We had a BLAST!! These cousins are too cute for words, and they all seem like the best of friends.  Here are a couple of previews. More to come.

This little one was full of energy and did not stay in the same place for 2 seconds (which makes my job even more exciting). I am always trying to direct children into the right light or background, while they do their own thing. I am there to simply capture a child in everyday motion!  :)  This little one loves tractors, wheel barrels, and running down hills fast!! Thanks for letting me capture your family and enjoy!

A quick shot of mom and dad!

Look at those eyes…….

I had a great time hanging out with the Tye Family! :)  Here is a sneak peak of what is to come! Oh, and any guess as to what this little one is sitting in? :) More to come……

Chris and I had a great time this weekend and really enjoyed meeting everyone! Here is just one quick image from the weekend.  I will try to post more later! :)

I was digging through my computer the other day and found some images that I had saved from about a month ago. This is what you get when you use your “2 boys” as your subject all of the time. I think I was practicing some camera settings with these images. Chris and Little Bobby are always so patient with me (for about 3 minutes..haha), then they start acting up and it is hard to keep them in one spot very long!

This week I got a fabulous package in the mail!  Silpada Jewelry!  I love my new pieces so of course I had to share! :) Silpada Jewelry is also a great gift for your friends and Bridesmaids!
