It is always so great to see family and friends over Christmas time. Last weekend I flew into Illinois to hang out with the family for a bit. Chris drove to Illinois later in the week and then we drove back together. We drove all night and I think I am still trying to catch up on my sleep! Nevertheless, I hope you all had a great Christmas! There was a bit of snow at mom and dad’s, but mostly everything was Ice!! I sure don’t miss the Illinois weather!! Here are some images from the holiday!

Okay, okay…so I have MIA. I guess with everything going on for the holidays I have not had a chance to blog! I did not realize it had been so long! Anyway, I will get on that right after the holidays! I just wanted to wish everyone a safe and Merry Christmas!:)

Logan was such a good sport! We had so much fun! He wasn’t sure about the camera at first, but after we started playing music, this kiddo started dancing and we got some great shots! It was great to see you Tracy! :)

Friday evening I did some of the last of my Christmas shopping. I look at everyone’s carts and they are all filled and full of bright and shiny toys! I love the season of giving! Chris and I were sitting at that table today and talking about who we can give to this year for Christmas. We really wanted to give to someone we knew would really need it. Not even for toys, but just need a little something to get them through they everyday cost of life. Then I remembered reading about Tonya. She is from around this area.

“Tonya Norman’s 21 year old sister was killed in a single car wreck last week. Also involved in the wreck were Tonya’s niece and nephew (ages 1 and 2). They were air-lifted to CMC Medical Center in Charlotte. Both are home now, and in Tonya’s care. Tonya has 2 children of her own (ages 4 and 8). So, in the blink of an eye, Tonya lost her sister and is now a single mother to 4 children. “

I pray for this family daily. That they will get through this tough time, and that others will be generous this season to help out this family, and to not forget about them and their needs as the year goes on!

Please pray for this family and if you can give anything at all, I know it would be very appreciated. You can contact either myself, or Broughton Hospital (her employer) to receive the information on how to donate! Tis the season for giving…..

I saw this in another blog……

8 things about me that you probably didn’t know:

1) I am a Hallmark girl! Yep, I could spend hours at a Hallmark store reading cards and inspirational items. I also buy most of my Christmas ornaments in the middle of the summer when Hallmark brings them out! Our tree at the house is filled with all Hallmark Ornaments ranging from the late 80’s to present. I am like a little girl in a candy store when we put up the Christmas tree when I see the ornaments make noise or light up on the tree. It is silly really…:)

2) I don’t listen to music much. I like quiet. I will be driving in my car with no music playing. Just my head racing or relaxing! I have only been to one concert my whole life. I was in 2nd grade and it was the Beach Boys. I love listening to John Mellencamp! It reminds me of high school and a more care free life (no real responsibilities besides getting good grades and cleaning my room)!!

3) I am a deep thinker…need I say more.

4) I wear contact lens and am as blind as a bat without them. I got caught in 4th grade when we had our yearly eye exam. Actually, my whole group I sat with had to get glasses. There were 4 of us, and we just figured that our desk were to far from the board since none of us could read it.

5) I heart chocolate. Any kind really. Fannie May is my favorite. No one around here (except my close friends) have even heard of Fannie May chocolates. They are mostly up North. They are to die for! Every gathering growing up with my dad’s side we had a box! It is just not a holiday with out this chocolate! I don’t even let my husband get into them because he will pop the whole piece into his mouth without even tasting or savoring it. He gets the Hersey’s in the other drawer! ;)

6) I love to learn! I learn better by reading that by hearing.

7) I have no cavities! Nope! None at all!! I am actually pretty proud of this one! I guess it is between the brushing all the time/good genes that have gotten me this far with none! I had braces as a child and had to have some teeth pulled and such. My parents always said, “you better take care of those teeth, we have a lot of money in that mouth!” Hope I haven’t disappointed you mom and dad!

8) I want to grow up and have as strong of a relationship with Chris, as my parents do with each other. They have been married for 28 years (dated 6 before that). They know each other better than they know their own self, yet they have their own way of doing things.

Enjoy! :)

Yes. It has been a little over 3 years since her wedding! You may ask why now? Why now is she putting on her dress for her bridal portraits? The sad truth is that she had a very unfortunate experience with her wedding photographer. She never received one photo from her bridal shoot or wedding!! He kept putting her off, and she, being the sweet person that she is, expected the best out of him, when all she got was the worst! :( He is now out of business as he should be. 3 years ago, she married her high school sweet heart of 8 years! Her and her husband have just built a house and she wants to surprise her husband with photos of her in her wedding dress! I was so happy that she contacted me about taking the photos! We had a great time and what a fun girl! Here are just a couple photos! I will post more later! Oh…and do you know what the best part of the whole shoot was? She can still fit into her wedding dress….!! (I hope I can say the same..haha)
