Just wanted to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving! My family drove in from Illinois for a few days and it is wonderful to have everyone at our place and into my little world! :) I hope everyone enjoys being with their family!

Tera-

Ps. I was looking through the photos and saw this one! I had to post it! :)

One day out of the year, a ton of people gather on the streets of Marion and wave to those going by in the street. If you think about it, the concept of a parade is kinds funny…but it is sooo much fun! This year we brought out Chris’s old Truck and participated in the Marion Christmas Parade! It was wonderful to see so many people come out for the parade and we could not have asked for a better day! Little Bobby joined us as well and was a big hit with the little kids! :) The truck we drove was passed down to Chris by his grandfather. His great grandfather bought it brand new in 1940 for $749! We have the bill of sale. This truck was Chris’s grandfather’s baby. We had worked on restoring it for years, but never got it back running again before he passed. Chris and I got it back and running 3 years ago (with the help of a restoration place we found)!

Last night my husband and I went out with a few friends to Asheville. When we got home, I realized my necklace jade was gone! I was so sad. This necklace goes back to only the first few weeks that Chris and I started dating! He got us matching stones and we have worn them around our necks since. The stone stands for “safety in water”. We were whitewater kayaking those days. Even though we don’t get in our boats much these days, I had always felt like the jade was symbolic. It was us! Once I got home and saw the stone was gone, I was so sad! I looked everywhere for it, but figured it has gotten swept away while we were out last night! This morning, I was getting in my car, and as light as day, was my stone! Yeah…I found it!

Yesterday was our 1 year anniversary of being in our house! I cannot believe it has been a year already! I want to say a big thank you to my wonderful husband who contracted our home and spent many more hours than I did working at the house (and I feel like I worked a ton!). We did almost everything to this house ourselves from staining the cedar siding to putting down the hardwood floors! We have been very blessed! Thank you for all that you do Baby! :)

Last night I went up to Asheville to see Regina Holder’s new studio! It was stunning! Such great details and I love the location! I also had the honor of meeting Corey McNab and Jill Schwarzkopf and a few others (sorry, I don’t remember everyone’s name). So much talent was sitting in the room! I love hearing the stories they have to share and it got my wheels spinning real fast!! They all had me thinking real hard about going to Las Vegas for a conference in February! Hummmm….we might just have to see about that! :)

Warning: This may be a long post!! 8 cute kids! What is a girl to do!!? Post photos of course!

What a wonderful Christmas surprise! These are photos for the grandparents. The grandparents went to town to run errands, while their 3 kids, got their children together at the home place. The Grandparents have no idea that this was all taking place at their house while they were gone! From what I understand, this house/land has been in the family for a couple generations therefore means a lot to this family! The children were full of energy and could not wait to play with each other after we got some photos taken! At the end of the session, it was funny when Danette (one of the moms) asked if any of the parents brought any extra sets of clothes for the children. They were hoping that the grandparents would not realize that everyone was in black when they were to all meet up later that evening! :)

Look at that balancing act!

This weekend, I photographed the Nelsons! They have been married for a little over 2 months (doesn’t seem possible). We had a fun time in Hickory walking downtown and playing in the backyard! Here are some photos….hope you enjoy! Ps. Isn’t Maybel, their Pug, so cute! I think Little Bobby and Maybel need a play date! :)

Maybel is thinking, geez mom and dad, we are in public! ;)

Yesterday morning, I woke up way too early to get some work in before the activities of the day began! As the sun was rising, this is the view I had from my office! Look a the back mountain range. Now find the highest peak. That is Mt. Mitchell. That is where Chris proposed to me at. He told me that he chose I spot where we could always see where the engagement took place…I know, it is mushy, but it melted my heart! I also had to take a quick shot of little bobby in my work chair. He usually keeps me company while I am on the computer working!

Oh, I had to share a quick photo I took of Chris’s pepper plants. He babies these things like nothing you have ever seen! Now that it is cold out, I think we have about 20 plants laying all over the house! Crazyness….!!
